Mayuri Bhandari

Mayuri Bhandari is a professor of Yoga and Dance at Loyola Marymount Univer-sity with a Master’s in Yoga Studies. A professional actress, dancer, and figure skating champion, she was the first South Asian to showcase figure skating on Indian National TV. Her credits include Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix), Hacks (HBO), and voiceovers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Ms. Marvel. Her award-winning solo show THE ANTI “YOGI” premiered at Hollywood Fringe and is heading to Edinburgh. Her poetry film BINDI received international recognition and was featured at a UN Women’s event. With a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Dance and South Asian Studies, Mayuri blends art with activism, highlighting yoga as a way of life while advocating for social justice, women’s empowerment, and Brown identity. She also shares ‘Bollywood on Ice’ and Yoga Comedy online, teaches at Arihanta Academy, and volunteers in prison yoga programs.
