Dr. Kunal Parikh

Dr. Kunal Parikh is an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, affiliated with the Wilmer Eye Institute and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He leads a translational, R01-funded lab focused on creating scalable biomedical solutions to address global health challenges, particularly preventable blindness. His team develops digital health tools, medical devices, biomaterials, and therapeutics using biodesign and insight-informed innovation. Kunal collaborates with leading eye care systems worldwide to identify needs and deliver affordable, accessible innovations. A healthcare investor and entrepreneur, he has co-founded multiple ventures, including Core Quantum Technologies and Visilant.
