Dr. Umang Jain

Umang Jain, MD, is a board-certified emergency physician based in Chicago and cofounder of Sur, a concierge wellness platform that integrates biomarker-driven insights with physician-led coaching. He practices at hospitals across Chicago and previously served as the Department Chair of Emergency Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL. Dr. Jain delivered a TEDx talk on the medical response to the Boston Marathon bombing and has a strong interest in healthcare companies focused on value-based care and population health. He completed his medical and residency training at Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Boston, Umang is an active member of the Jain Center of Greater Boston, and credits Pathshala and JAINA/YJA conventions for shaping his core values and lifelong friendships.
